BBQ Smokers

I just recently got into smoking meats the other day and I bought a little Brinkmann Vertical Square Smoker from Home Depot. I smoked some ribs, sausages, chicken, and turkey and it turned out really good *noom nom nomm* I am looking for a bigger, better smoker, so any recommendations would help

back on topic.

I have a Great Outdoors Stainless Steel propane smoker. It works well, temperature control can be a bit of a pain because there is no insulation and wind can really be an issue, nothing compared to a charcoal smoker.

If I buy another smoker...and I may, I will buy an electric smoker that feeds itself. If you are smoking for a long period it can be a pain to add chips every 45 min to hour for 14 hours.

edit: BTW did you try any of our Bay Area restaurants?

Charcoal is great for grilling, not for smoking, on the scale of a home user.

yeah i think want to stay away from propane smokers, i prefer wood/charcoal smokers.

yeah i did and you had awesome recommendations, especially blackhawk grille, sakura, flemings, chris ruth

if you are ever in pleasanton, you should try "oasis" they have this great salmon dish
