Our days here in Florida have been over for about a year or so. So far in just the past 6 months I have seen everything from an unmarked Jetta to an unmarked Dodge minivan and even an unmarked Scion xB flip on the cherries and pull people over. Kind of sucks, but I guess I should be obeying the law anyway...

ALL Traffic enforcement police cars should:
1. Be obvious that they are a police car.
2. Be able to be spotted and identified as a police car from over 1/2 mile away.
3. Have extremely reflective markings that glow in the dark.
4. Have external roof mounted lights.
5. Be driven at the posted speed limit in the proper lane.
6. When on the side of the road have the marker/flasher lights on.

Totally agree. Police should be as visible as possible to act as a deterrent. Blatant money raising.

Town next to mine has begun replacing all of their crown vic cruisers with chargers. Some marked, some unmarked.

I live 4 miles from my commuter rail station, and had never seen that town have any speed traps until they bought these cars. Obviously, somebody asked to get these new cars with the caveat that they add to town revenue. I now see 3 speed traps every morning, along that one 4 miles stretch, at 5:50-6:10am. Real heros, popping people on their way to work.

I think you'd have a good entrapment argument, if you did get taunted into racing by that mustang or nissan.

I agree that all police cars should be clearly marked. Doing otherwise makes it a lot easier for cop "wannabes" with no authority, and other "pervs" to get people to pull over. Things can get real ugly, real fast in these situations. Faking a uniform and a badge is a lot easier than faking a properly marked police car.

ahahaha, our -police department are too broke to do that and plus they are busy catching drug dealers and murderers. They don't really care about street racing right now.
