First tank of gas = 11.17 mpg.

The car claimed 12.9 but the math at the pump says, uhuh, 11.17. lol Cant hardly wait to see what I get after the break in period ends and I can stop babying it.

I suggest use gas cubby app to keep track of it.

that's not bad for break-in at all as others have said. I was in the 8 range for the first few tanks. The service indicator is based more on gallons used than miles driven, so mine indicated it wanted the break-in service around 700 miles.

There's something wrong if you are getting 13mpg on the highway unless you are taking the highway to heaven.

Wow, you must know the secret password to the increased fuel economy mode in idrive! A little better than half my cars mileage for the tank was on the freeway coming home from Seattle and the rest in town. I drove with light to at most moderate throttle, nearly all in sequential with shifts occurring anywhere from low rpm up to 4k or so. Kind of as you would drive a stick when in traffic and with no hurry. I didn't use cruise on the freeway as I like to vary the speed quite a bit in the early miles so I probably lost a little there but it wouldn't have been much. I'm pretty sure my numbers have nowhere to go but down too.
