Challenge Street mid + M performance catback. Anyone?
Anyone running this set-up? Any sound clips?

Ok. Has anyone tried just cutting secondary cats and replacing with resonators?
I ask this because on my Porsche Cayenne, I replaced the secondary cats with resonators and it sounds fantastic. The same type of cat delete with a straight pipe is also very raspy, however.

Doesn't the Challenge Street X-Pipe do that already?

I was referring to simply cutting the stock secondary cats and welding resonators. This would give you a 4 resonator/no secondary cat set-up

I've found that resonators do cut down on the rasp somewhat, but not completely. I really don't think removing the secondary cats is worth it, I think it's always better to remove the primaries with a $400 test pipe.

First had oem mod only with factory x-pipe and it sounded awesome. Eventually, I wanted more volume so I cut out the secondary cats and replaced with straight pipes. This produced a noticeable increase in volume but also made the sound very raspy. I drove around like that for 6 months or so before getting tired of the sound. Recently I had resonators welded in where the straight pipes were for a quad resonator and no secondary cat setup. Initially I was disappointed by the reduced volume but the tone is much improved. However, not sure how different it sounds now than when I had the secondary cats in place. |

This is what mine sounded like (BMW Performance exhaust + Turner test pipes) I thought it was too raspy. |

I was about to purchase a M performance catback, but when I mated it with my challenge xpipe it sounded pretty bad, that is why I went with the evolve e-tronic unit

I cut out the stock resonators and added them to my Fabspeed X-pipe to make it quad resonated. The OEM mod was super raspy (a little louder and higher pitched than Kitw's vid) before and now I think the sound is perfect for me. No drone, a little louder than stock while cruising and a nice aggressive tone at WOT
