Anyone else saw the USA VS Spain basketball game last night/this morning?

It aired at around 1:30AM EST and reaired several hours on USA Network...that was the best basketball game I've ever seen in any Olympic competition! But that's not saying much because I was too young to remember the '92 Dream Team play. Kobe said that he would like to be back in 2012 when he's 34 yrs old. As much as I dislike the Lakers, Kobe came through in the clutch in the final minutes in the 4th quarter. It's been a long time coming.

I don't dislike kobe, i dislike the Lakers.. and I find it completely ridiculous that the Heat now have the 4th best player in the league now that Wade is really back and the rightful 1st draft pick to go with it. Pat Riley's tanking ass should be shot.

Really good game though.

Come on man, it helped their chances. As you saw on selection day, Chicago came out of nowhere and were gifted the number 1 overall slot which they used on a point guard even though they have 4 other ones and for the last 4 years have been searching for a dominant big man. Go Bulls.

Great game, but it just goes to show that the rest of the world has really caught up when it comes to "America's Game"

I saw it on NBC and I must say, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was soooo close when Spain came within 2 points. Awesome game though!!

I was really suprised by Spain's game...did you know that Ricky kid is only 17?? Apparently he's being looked at to be recruited by the NBA but it was always funny seeing him try to get a rebound; he was so scared you could see it on his face.

That was not a game. It was a non-stop battle of galactic proportions.
I am glad US stood its ground and only played nasty when they had to. A well deserved win and a worthy gold for the "real dream team"

Yeah, I think he's the 2nd youngest person out there. First being a 16 yr old on China's squad. I think he'll be in the league for sure when he's at the legal age of 19. He needs to work on more tricks though because he always go for the around the back move almost everytime he drives. I can see a young Iverson in him.

Lol, yeah. So many instances where there's 3+ turnovers before a team even reaches the paint.

What pissed me off was Spain's bench. I don't know what they were yelling about when Kobe made that dunk when he stole the ball. They were also throwing towels around like poor sportsmen and that corny hand gesture they do when 3's are made is just stupid.

That's because the Tae Kwon Do ref was not anywhere close to the court

Good game.

Those sure are some funny looking court lines in the Olympic Games.

I think that's how they are in Asia. I was in Thailand several days ago and the lines on the basketball courts over there look the same as the one they played in China.

Funny how everyone goes out of their way to state their distaste for the Lakers.

If you don't like them, don't bring them up.

Its like talking about how much you hate something, yet bring it up every other day.

I dont know about any young Iverson in that kid. That kid cant even shoot and is 3 steps slower than Iverson. He is probably more of a REALLY POOR man's Jason Kidd.
