EVOLVE + 240e+Sal = Success

wanted to post a quick Thank you and provide feedback about a recent experience I had with the Evovle team (specifically Sal) and the update to 240e software.

Decided to go down the path of an ECU upgrade after I had installed the Akrapovic Evo exhuast...I initially had my 80e coding upgraded, but noted that the CEL would not go off for o2 sensors...After touching base with Sal, I was quickly provided with 231e to install...Sadly, this did not resolve the issue. Sal was not deterred, and helped me trouble shoot for days.>Finally came to the decision that the car needed to hit the dealership to replace the o2 sensors...With that complete, and a factor updated 240e load, Sal was quick to respond with a tuned 240e (less than 24 turn around)...Loaded it this morning, and couldnt be happier! car feels great, power is noticable improved, and Sal was there to support at every step.

A big Kudos to Evolve for a great product, and to Sal for being very support, amazingly patient through my various stressouts, and the best looking tuner out there !

if considering a Tune, EVOLVE is a great choice!

Yv

Thanks for sharing! Great to know that Evolve can easily tune the latest 240E firmware as well.

I have been getting my cars tuned by Evolve for awhile now and despite how many times I bother Sal, Imran, and Rizwan on a daily basis, they still remain patient with me.

Evolve Automotive is definitely one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. They are simply true car enthusiasts wanting to make a positive impact on this car community.

Sal, Imran and Rizwan have been nothing but supportive through out my dealings with them. Great people to work with. EVOLVE FTW

Bumping an old thread because I'm having problems trying to open the Evolve program and I'm not getting any help from Evolve since some of the guys are at SEMA.

When I click the "Evolve BMW Flash" icon, it says "The program can't start because ftd2xx.dll is missing from you computer"
I then clicked DCM20814_Setup and it did something and stopped. I then clicked Evolve Flash icon and still the same message comes up.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to load up the latest FTDi driver.

If you have still have problems allow us to login to your PC remotely and we will take care of the issue.

This is a windows problem which can be easily solved.

I am sure I sent you a reply today!

Aus,

Download this and you'll be good:

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM20824_Setup.exe

Edit: Sal will need to send you the latest flashing software too probably.

Still doesn't seem to work. Tried it on my laptop and desktop.
I downloaded that file to desktop and opened as administrator.
It said drivers installed, but it still wont allow the Evolve BMW Flash to open.

I'm on Windows7 on both machines.
