GP Thunder 8500 problem

I just got finished installing these. They don't look that much different from stock. The problem is the inside angel eyes lights up while the outside ones barely do. Are the lights maybe not tightened enough? I tried searching but could not find anything. Thanks

If you look at my thread "Shots of my M3" you will see how the GP Thunder 8500k should look like. That did not happen to me, but if i were you i would double check if you properly put in the light bulbs and when you put the assembly back into the houseing and you kinda have to turn it to lock it back into place make sure its tight in there and does not whigle around, everything should fit like stock, nice snug and tight. And if u witness very minor smoke from the lights, dont freak out like i did, LOL it will go away... But ur problem is strange, hmmm well hope u figure it out and it all works out for ya'...

The problem with the higher Kelvin temp halogens is they use a darker blue tint to achivee the cooler color, but the wattage stays the same, thus, less light output. Check your installation, but it is probably just the way it is. We know the outer ring is naturally dimmer, anyhow. I'm trying the HID setup for more output. Will report back.

True they are less dim. But in GTR-m3's picture you could clearly see that both rings are bright. Unlike mine, which only the inners are bright.

From what place did u buy ur's from? I got mine from JlevisW.com i some times at sun down roll around with just the angel eyes on and i can see them shine the road it looks awesome. Maybe it has to do with the brand name or the bulb type, but i dont know if that's the case...

There is a new generation of LEDs that is SIGNIFICANTLY brighter. Heat in LEDs was the problem before. The new design changed to allow heat to escape from the base and the lumens are actually higher for comparable HIDs with similar or even higher power consumptions. My triathlon bike has a single LED light that is extremely bright ... cost $180! When I purchased the light, I must admit I was extremely hesitant because of my own previous experiences with LEDs. The ligh runs cooler, is brighter than my previous HID and runs longer on the battery.

Here is a pic of that single LED at an angle (front shot was too bright) with all my house lights on. It would be good to see samples on the LEDs from E92-Lighting.
