it seems that the AMG was a little late on the gas, I am sure the AMG is a little faster in straight line...not that it matters...on the track the AMG sucks in comparison

1) It's the M coupe so it's lighter than the sedan which is normally pitted against the C63.
2) It's DCT and DCT is faster than 6MT. MDCTFTW

ya I heard those "automatic" cars are hard to drive in a straight line when you get all distracted mashing your one foot down and holding on to the steering wheel

Damn, that's got to hurt the AMG crowd, the best characteristic of the C63 still isn't up to a straight-line beat of a DCT. Add it's defeat at the track and all the C63 has left is it's exhaust note and 0-30mph sprint.

I would bet that stock M3 M-DCT vs. stock C63 AMG will be very close. C63AMG is one of those cars that feels faster than it actually is and M3 is the other way around 'cause of the torque difference.
People who think that C63amg will 'smoke' the M3 are just plain wrong.

What part of my post do you disagree with?
From a roll the C63 appears to be comparable to the M3, take both to a track and the entire automotive enthusiast world knows which car will be in front. Aesthetics, appeal and other subjective characteristics I leave for the individual and his or her hair stylist. |
