I used Alpine. Alex was great to work with and he charges a fraction what others do. Be sure to get the GTS DCT coded too. It is worth every penny.

Cheaper isn't always better. Chose your coder of choice after doing some research. If someone is local to you that's always a plus as well.

Things I've coded that I think are great:

1) Front corner + LED light delete (turns on only when you use turn signals, gives it a euro look with only the headlight + angel eyes illuminated at

2) Remote window and sunroof close + folding exterior rear view mirrors

3) Auto-unlock after hitting ignition button to stop the engine

4) Euro MDM

5) Brake Force Distribution light

6) I-drive license agreement bypass

7) Activated digital instant MPG on the cluster

8) V=mph now displays actual MPH vs. from the gauge needle (V=mph shows 50mph where the gauge needle shows 52mph).

9) Windshield wiper "return" to normal position after turning off car vs. stopping at whatever position when ignition is off

10) disabled auto "stop" feature of the windows so that the windows will now auto-up, even when that specific door is opened

11) Auto ejecting of the FOB from the ignition when off (I have comfort access, but I figured I'd code it for this for giggles)

In this case it does not matter. Coding is coding. There is a guy local in Houston that does unlimited for 50 bucks. Everyone uses the same program and codes. There is even a forum for coding. I could do it if I had to patience to learn how to do it.

True it isn't hard to do if you have a basic understanding of the cars and the use of ncs expert. I code as well for my friends and have no issues. There's also no shortage of guys that have bricked control units and been unable to revive them. That's when experience and knowing what you're doing comes in handy.

Agreed!

With the right research, you can do it on your own or if you choose to have a professional do it, there are lots of good affordable options.

Best of luck! Coding can be a lot of fun

I do my own coding but used Alex for navi maps update and let me tell you, it's like he's on that email all day and night, quick response and great guy, great pricing, like I stated earlier, no need to pay a lot for coding, coding is not a mystery anymore.
