Retrofit heated seats?

It's my understanding that all M3 seats come with heating elements. Is it possible to simply add the wiring harness and buttons to make them heated or is it more complex than that?

Probably cheaper and more practical to just find heated seats instead of ripping your seat apart. But I'm sure it could be done. There's usually a guy selling a full interior once a quarter, check the for sale sections for either a oem part out.

There's a 08 currently doing one, not sure if heated seats though.
