The 4.0 S65 even when built to handle higher boost is still a small displacement engine compared to most of it's current competition, it would need some additional boost to overcome the displacement advantage the Merc has. Maybe time for drew to turn the boost up a bit
Merc owner has another M156 powered car that is his high speed car. It was trapping another ~20mph. Supposedly the C63BS is set up for road course use.

Thanks for posting Ricky!

Well they got their revenge! After I easily pulled my buddies Wesitec Stage 2. Unfortunately I didn't get many runs in over the weekend because the car was running way to rich and I had some hesitation issues at higher speeds. For example the 730whp Red Ford GT that I was even with at a prior Big Willow event a few months back, pulled me by 4 cars this time and Adam's VT625 wasn't that far behind were as before I pulled bus lengths, but I wasn't about to miss this race with Jim/Weistec and they deserved a shot at me.

The crew at Weistec, Carlos and Steve are super good guys, and are very good at what they do. Jim the owner of this Stage 3 was a very nice guy as well. I admire that Weistec came out and supported all their cars/drivers, they came prepared, very impressive all around.

No excuses guys, he was faster that day, good run Jcart/Wesitec!

Also FWIW my car has a stock DCT transmission, it's not built and the motor is stock displacement, stock heads, block, just has drop in LC pistons and rods, to safely allow for more boost.

What's up guys. Damn I'm tired. Have lots of vids to post...will do it in a compilation in a day or two.

Glad to finally see this match up! The Weistec crew was there with some incredible cars. And really good guys having lots of fun as well. Glad they came out. They even fixed my buddy's C63 who got a nail in his tire and he was running a competitor's tune! My worse loss of the day was when I tried going from a dead stop against Carlos running the 727 RWHP upgraded turbo e63 and that thing just took off without wheel spin and left me standing still (as I spun 1st and 2nd gear). lol

Anyway I was in Drew's car monitoring things on Sunday and I just wish he was 100% as he perhaps could have made it a little closer. His AFRs were 10.9 to 11.2 and was only boosting 9-11psi. His car was hesitating a bit as well so he has some stuff to work on for the next event. Hopefully he can get everything taken care us soon.

Peace.

Probably just the water from icing the blower, smart move on their part!

Probably does, I wonder if my trunk hurt me up top a little, probably not much.

Excellent points, the car has ran faster no doubt, just didn't that day, it's how it goes sometimes, those guys deserve big props for their work, those cars are very fast, especially for just a bolt on blower.

Thanks Adam, yeah I was a little frustrated, the car runs great all around and is still fast, just a little off that day, no idea if the outcome would be drastically different though. The blower and fuel pumps were changed since last time, might do some tweaks to the AFR's and add another psi. Always good seeing you and you did great as always.

Hey Drew-

First of all, great runs and what a well sorted E92 you have!

Did you get to run Jim's big HP CLK (the one that topped at 184 mph) or just the road-course BS shown in this video?

I would love to see both this 1/2 mile event and a true 1/4 with the DCT powered VT3.

If I were a betting man, I would lean towards you the E92 in the 1/4 with a sub 1.9 60ft.

Thank you for sharing,
Mike

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the support, but I'm positive he'd get me in the 1/4 with the white Stage 3, and I'd have no chance against the big HP CLK, that thing is a monster.

Haha, I don't know man, I'd need to tweak a few things, maybe add some more boost, I'm sure he could add more too, both cars are incredible, but he got me, a win is a win and he deserves all the credit.

Drew, great run man. It was great to finally meet you as well. We had a great time at the event.

Adam your car ran awesome as well man! It was fun chatting with you as well!

The turn out was great guys! We had a blast and believe me we lost our fair share of races as well. Those damn GTR's are unreal! The CLK didn't have much of a chance although we were breaking 181 MPH a few times! We hope to back soon with some more work done to the CLK. Thanks again guys for making Shift Sector such an awesome event!

It was his ice tank in the trunk, one run the drain plug was not closed all the way. For the record the C BS does not have a stripped interior. I was at event, car is owned by my best friend.

It was nice meeting you yesterday Drew, amazing car.

Wing is adjustable and we had it planned out to zero, plus car has factory Aero package which includes that wing and front splitter and canard so if you remove rear there will be room much spender up front and cars ass end will be raised and ride will be unstable.

Steve, good stuff Broski, great meeting you as well, I'm very impressed with what you guys have done, excellent showing at the event.

Unreal what the CLK hit trap wise, that's very impressive, thanks so much for your support at the event, looking forward to the next one as well.
