2007-08 Austin Martin vantage

What r ur thoughts on this car. Love the look but never owned one before so not sure how reliable they r. Really thinking selling the M3 and getting something more exotic considering I only put 3-5000 km a year on my car.

I would keep the M3 and get the Aston, but I would never trade an E92 M3 for a AMV8 Vantage.

AMV8 Vantage is probably the most beautiful car on the road but not as good of a car as the E92 M3. The engine on the M3 is an automotive jewel.

If anything I would go for a 991 C2S but I would still keep the M3...I own both and thats how good it is!

Completely agree! Don't sell the M3 if u can afford it. I still miss the S65

Buy a MT Vantage as the single clutch automated box is shit. That's the single reason stopping me from buying the Vantage V12. Beautiful car the Vantage. Compact, sexy, and full of character even though it's a distance behind the M3 technically.

I'm not much of an Aston Person.

If it is a GT you are after, how about the Maserati Gran Turismo ? They make great sounds.

The Gran Turismo certainly sounds a million bucks, but a little too big and lumbering compared to the Vantage, which is more of a sports car than the GT. Both are no speed demons though.

I haven't driven one before so can't really compare it to anything. It's really just a thought looking for something more exotic and not so flashy. I think it is one of the best looking cars on the road especially from the back end. To bad it has reliability issues.

For Vantage, MT is only available up to the Vantage V12. It's no longer available on the latest V12 Vantage S.

Get the newest year Vantage you can. MT is fine but yes, their "SMG" gear box is awful (think e46 and e60 m5s). Their infotainment system is pretty horrendous too. Maintenance Costs are considerable. If it is not going to be a daily driver it won't be as bad but make sure to do research and find a well taken care of one. The car looks great but definitely consider all costs to own one. Good luck!
