Official MClub.LA Arrive & Drive Karting Event Caravan & Carpool Thread
March 3, 2012

Hope everyone is ready for the karting event this weekend! Since Willow Springs Raceway is about 1.5 hours from downtown LA, the drive into the desert is much more exciting when completed with friends. The current plan is to gather at the Sierra Hwy Park & Ride and caravan from there. The Park and Ride is located right off CA-14, about 2 miles north of I-5:

The caravan will leave the Park & Ride at 6:30am to arrive at WSR by 7:30, which should give everyone time to grab snacks before the driver download at 8am.

If you're interested, post up here so we can get things organized. Post where you'll be leaving from, as others may be interested in rallying to the park and ride (or, if you're travelling from an area north of LA, an additional caravan point can be created). I'll keep this post updated with the latest information, so be sure to check back!

This looks like so much fun. Wish I was able to come.

As an aside, MClub.LA should have a forum. It would be a good place for all BMW guys in the LA area to organize events/meets, chat, etc...

Lol I've been telling them the same exact thing for the past few months. They are working on it. Unfortunately they are pretty under staffed but doing well with what resources they have.

The main thing has been getting our ducks in a row to be able to handle everything behind the scenes that a forum requires. We'll let you all know when we're getting to that point. Until then, stay posted for future events

Are you guys usually pretty nice? I'm pretty sensitive and I don't want to get intimidated by all you big strong men on this caravan. I would really like to join though.

Everyone is def cool (I believe). I doubt any of us could be "intimidating" if we tried

If anyone is coming from LA/The Valley and wants to cruise with me to the meet spot, let me know.

We could meet Gelson's before hand and caravan over to the caravan.
