I purchased one of the first few '13 E92's, my sales guy said the car is waiting at the NJ VDC and should be delivered to the dealer sometime this upcoming week.. ahhh the last few days are torture, I'm so excited though!

Mines in NJ too... No CARB certifications yet so they will
Sit there until complete unfortunately.

Me too... hope it doesn't take a month like last year either.
Then there's the PCD scheduling which I've heard is booked until October... hoping for a miracle there too =)

PCD is likely neat for those that have never been. I figured it would be cool to take my father and have a guy day there, driving and tour, but I'm there about every quarter with business stuff so its not something I have to have. Hope it works out, want to show dad what a cool place it is.

My length of time was roughly the same as tbone's, but we both placed orders right at the start of the model year. I would expect the wait to be less than that now.

I placed my order on 5/29 for a 9/21 pick-up. I received my production number shortly after, and then I noticed today that the car is finally showing up in mybmw. There isn't much in the status timeline, it just states that they are processing the order.

I placed my order the beginning of last week and just found out it isn't scheduled for production until the 1st week of September.
Is this long a time normal? I asked my CA to see if she could move it up, but said it was unlikely since the dealership has a limited "allocation" of M3s it can order. |

Especially since you consider the factories are shut down for a couple of weeks in August.

Yup. I have been agonizing over exterior color and interior options so the faster it goes into production the better for my family!

Order placed in June and I received a production number shortly thereafter. Car went into production two days ago with a mid-August completion date, and ED scheduled for Aug 31!

Update: When I originally placed my order I was told the car was scheduled for week 36 production. I called my CA yesterday hoping to make a minor change to my spec and was told it was too late because the car is already in production with an estimated completion date of 8/20! Also, I am taking delivery at the PC. Good times! Cheers!
