NO option e90 m3 with aftermarket mufflers and test pipes checking in … Glad I went this route, I am certainly sub 3500lbs with 1/4 tank. Good news to me :thump:

However, a 3% decrease in weight is negligible in real world driving. Maybe on a track lap times could shave tenths but whatevers, its the little things in life sometimes

The Fabspeed Maxflo (two post-cat pipes with a small resonator on each pipe)....it's fairly loud when you are on the throttle but a nice kind of loud. When I'm cruising, the cabin db level is around 95db and when I'm on the gas it's 100-105db.

95db inside the cabin? that is an OSHA hearing protection zone.

the maxflo keeps the side mufflers. did you also get the fabspeed side muffler delete kit with with the maxflow muffler kit? i would love to see a video with sounds.

I can still have a conversation and listen to the radio (thanks to the sound plus option).

If you want a bit quieter then the M&M exhaust with the center muffler is a good choice (although it'll be a little heavier). I think getting rid of the side mufflers will help a lot both in terms of weight and not heating up the rear fenders/tires.

Here's what it looks like (then there's a 2-into-1 pipe that connects after the cats). It does eliminate the side mufflers. Those fockers are heavy as help...like 28lbs each. I posted up a video clips with sound next weekend so you can hear how it sounds. I get a lot of compliments on it at the track.

My loaded (no sunroof) E90 with track wheels/tires was 3700 and change with a full tank and no passengers. Really really surprised to see 3500.

Same here.

Mine came in at 3688lb with full tank and no driver (E92, DCT, Nav, Premium sound, leather heated and full electric seats with adjustable lumbar and side bolsters, CFRP roof, folding rear seat, M-performance exhaust, 18"x10" track wheels).

Then again he also has different wheels and tires, which also factor in the weight differences. All in all, it's really hard to compare precisely b/c of his (and your) equipment, but you can estimate it with +/- 20 lbs differences in equipment weight.
Exactly so my e90 with some weight reduction and lower fuel is right in the ballpark at 3588. Think I took 80ish pounds out with the rear seats and such.

The M3 guys can fit a full sized hooker in the trunk, I don't think I can fit a midget hooker in my frunk.

Why don't one of you strip out the interior and do a full build? Then we can find out how low the e9x M3 will go! Just as a reference my e46 M3 (which I consider to be over weight by a good 100 -150 lbs.) is about 2875 lbs. no driver, no fuel but add for fire suppression and cool shirt (cooler full of water & ice)
Just think how fast your car would be if you dropped 400-500lbs.

My full race build E92 is around 2840 (maybe a bit less) no fuel, driver, or ballast.
Only carbon body piece right now is the trunk. Lexan rear and 1/4 windows.
It's pretty well gutted and I thinned out the wiring harness a lot (about 50lbs of unneeded wiring/modules). I could lose more (carbon doors/hood, more thinning of wiring/modules, and still have some heavy factory sound deadening underneath).

Wow. This is inspiring. With all the negative talk that our cars are too heavy and are not good track cars due to this.

I've done major weight savings as well ie rear gutted etc, I look forward to getting my car weighed.

Is that with a cage? Either way, 2840 is pretty damned light so it sounds like your car is going to be insanely fast! An E9X M3 is pretty damned fast in stock trim.

Yes, 2840 is with a full cage (also includes the fire suppression system and diff cooler setup).
I run about with anywhere from 70-120lbs of ballast added back in, mostly to try to get back closer to 50/50 front/rear weight distribution for handling purposes. As everyone knows, much of the weight when stripping comes off the rear axle.
