Buy it or run? Anyone actually lease for sticker price?

Local dealer is telling me they sell all their M3s at MSRP or ABOVE. Seems hard to believe, but they are conveniently located and were good to work with for my last car.

The car:
2013 M3 Coupe, MSRP $76,945 (A73 Jerez Black, NDSW, ZCP, ZPP, etc..)
Tint and black grills incl.

The deals:
$3,000 drive off + $1,160/mo incl. taxes (~$1,060 before taxes)

Thoughts? Seemed high to me based on bmwconfig, but I have not bought a new M3 before.

Thanks in advance!

I hate working with local dealership...however I go there only for service.

i'd never deal with a dealer who said they would only sell me a car at MSRP or above. i'd feel so disrespected that they think i'm that stupid

Configure your car at truecar.com to figure out invoice with options and to see what others are paying in your area then head over to bimmerfest-ask a dealer section to see what the latest residuals and incentives are from Jon Schaefer, then head to ridewithg.com to find out MF and use their calculator for a rough wag at what the payment should be.

I made my own lease calculator that is closely modeled after most dealerships pricing tools and Im able to get within about $1 on payment quotes.

I've dealt with a lot of dealers in the past using this process and have caught many of them trying to inflate my MF, add hidden fees, hide incentive money etc...

I will only deal with Steve Thomas BMW from now-on when purchasing new BMWs because they are strait forward and offer a great price up-front. Kind of takes the fun out of haggling because they are so reasonable!

Turecar says invoice is 71,415 for your options and average paid in Phoenix is 73,626. Assuming you qualify for loyalty you should account for $1500 BMW incentive plus $750 loyalty to go towards your down payment.

I'm showing that if you got the car for the average price paid around your area you should be at around $900/m before tax with ZERO money down...you should be able to easily get $1k over invoice minus incentives which would bring you down to around $875/m before tax and fees with no money out of pocket...

3 grand out of pocket and 1K + monthly payment with the current incentives is a raping!!!!

Thanks everyone! Great info. @Curt2000 - very useful.

The deal didn't seem right - I'm glad I'm not crazy. I called a couple dealers that showed stock online (Las Vegas/Utah) -- and both had MUCH more reasonable deals before even attempting any negotiation.

I'm going to run from this deal - but before I tell North Scottsdale to pound sand - I may try to talk to a different sales person and see if they can make a reasonable offer. Part of me wants to tell the dealership off after the back-and-forth I've had today. On top of the high pricing, I couldn't get any actual number details (final sales price, lease turn in expense, money factor, etc.) beyond the monthly cost/drive off costs even after asking repeatedly. Really frustrating experience.

Assuming that goes the way of the other conversations with them, I'll be reaching out to the names given on this thread -- thanks!

I'll pile on here and say run from that deal! I qualified for $3250 in incentives (loyalty, lease credit, USAA) on top of negotiating a price that was well under MSRP. I had a similar experience with a local dealer, and realized that if you want to save thousands it would behoove you to shop around.

Anyone know where to find the current money factors and a reasonable amount from invoice to offer for a car sent from another dealer?

The other local dealer is saying .0017 is the best money factor right now. I tight they were still at .0013?

.0013 is the MF for M3s this month. Dealerships will try to tack on some interest to skim money off the deal...I would stop calling whatever dealer you are talking with currently because it seems they insist on continually insulting your intelligence.

I am now the proud owner of a new 2013 LeMans blue M3. Thanks to this thread I feel quite good about the deal I got. $1,500 over invoice with black grills thrown in free and a couple other goodies at cost. THOUSANDS cheaper out-of-pocket than my local dealer AND much less per month.

Now I just need to be patient for it to ship out here. I almost flew out there tomorrow morning to pick it up and drive back, but I need to work and couldn't take the time off.

Makes me wonder why I kept talking to North Scottsdale. .

I'll have to change my forum signature soon.

Congratulations! Love LeMans Blue, was my second choice but recognizing my own laziness and the frequent rain we get here in Louisiana, I went with the lower maintenance Space Grey. Looking forward to the pics. Where did find the car?

Great news man...glad we could help...be sure to tell the salesmen what a great deal you got on it the first time you take it in for maintenance to North Scottsdale.
