Best Dealer for Service??
Hi can anyone reccomend a dealer that they know of doesn't take M cars for joy rides etc and actually just does the work on the car. you know you bring the car in for something that wouldn't require a test drive then your car has 10 miles more on it then when you dropped it off
i have a couple electrical things i need to get looked at, my Nav unit etc has something going on with it these places are closest to me Prestige BMW Park AVE BMW Orange County BMW Paul Miller BMW Wide World BMW Hudson Valley BMW i have dealt with Prestige in the past and had a pretty cool SA there that i used to tip good so he would look after my car but someone told me he is gone now from there. so i am pretty much starting over. i only go to the dealer when it is last resort bc they all suck. i usually have my mechanic at MMW in NJ work on my cars but this is warranty stuff any advice where to go for a dealer that won't be out rippin my rear tires up would be nice. i just added my midpipe so the car sound nasty so i know it is gonna make these morons trigger happy i will write my miles down and i will also bring my tire guage with me so i can measure tire tread depth and measure it again when i pick the car up what is the accepted amount of miles your car should have on it more when you pick it up?? 1 mile, 2miles?? i know if it was engine related or tranny they may need to drive it a bit more but if it is for nothing engine related what do you guys think?? thanks in advance H

Prestige gets good reports. I go to Paul Miller (bought the car there) but I may have to switch to Prestige being closer to me. Avoid Difeo BMW like the plague.

So far, exact a tiny little detail during my last oil change (the tech forgot to reser the computer... but I can't blame him because he drew my oil sample for Blackstone Labs! ) I have been extremely happy with Prestige! For the break in service, the car was there overnight and they only added .2 miles to the odometer and the last two times I had it there for an oil change, I waited for the car in the showroom and they added no miles either.
My SA is Jim Reed, nice older quiet guy... who happens to have some French roots... how funny is that?!?

Prestige has done a fine job for me so far and I am much closer to Park Ave or Tenafly BMW but I still drive to Prestige. My SA is Ryan. Young guy, but a good guy and professional demeanor isright on point. Tell him Joe Avalos sent you and he should take care of you well.

thanks guys. yeah only thing i make sure they don't wash my car. i forgot to tell them one time and i had swirls up the ass on my hood from what i am assuming was a dirty wash mit. i am sure all dealers do this not just them. i never let the dealer wash my car

oh wow that is a first i have heard from orange county. i figured up there in the boonies where we are they prob weren't all that good. i know back when i had my 03 M5 the guy at the parts counter was clueless. i went to order MAF's and pre cat 02 sensors and he looked at me like i was talking another language lol. i had to show him on the comp what they were and where the part numbers were lmao.
they are closest to me so maybe i will give it a try. you know if they do loaners??

Seems like all of you guys go to Prestige BMW. Who is a good SA do deal with?? I will be taking my car in for service and I do not want to goto BMW of Tenafly aka Difeo BMW where I got my car from. Alot of things have changed there and its not the same place as before. Thanks for any info...

Park Ave sux.. never treat the car with respect. Usually good for a scratch or two eveytime the car is serviced there... plus they are too busy and takes forever to get your car back...
