Selling my e92 and getting a e93. Which one would you chose?

I am selling my e92 (sad to let her go esp since its been the BEST m3 ive had!)

Wife and I miss the convertable so im def gonna get an e93. Here are the options what do you guys think?

Option 1:
2008 e93 M3
Black/Red Extended Leather (LOVE THIS!!)- EVERY OPTION INCLUDING DCT (81k sticker!)
22k mile
CPO- 100k miles
$53,000 after tax/shipping
What dont like: Jerez Black exterior
What i like: EXTDEDED Leather and DCT so wife can drive!

Option 2:
2008 e93 M3
Melbourne Red/Bambo /Premium Sound/Tech Package/Premium Package
28k miles
CPO- 100k Miles
$50,500- after tax
What dont like: No PDC, No Extended Leather, No Sirius (will have to add), No HD Radio
What i like: CPO, exterior color!!

Option 3:
2009 e93 m3
Silver / Black- EVERY OPTION 6 Speed and NO extended leather (NEW NAV!)
39k miles! (HIGH MILES!)
NO extended warranty
$50,700 after tax (buy warranty only until 50k miles)
$54,700 with warranty for 100k miles.
What dont like: HIGH MILES AND NO WARRANTY! (will have to purchase extended)
What i like: Its 2009 and has EVERY option except for Extended leater. Its 6PD.

Sep 29. few more options!
Option 4
2008 Bmw m3- Red/Black
49k miles however EVERY OPTION except DCT and extended leather
CPO!
$46,000 after tax!
What i like Every option. Like the color red/black PRICE and its a CPO!!
What i dont like High miles! 49k miles however its a CPO so id be covered till 100k miles. However i do feel if im spending this much on a car i should get lower miles! I will be keeping the car 3-5 years.

Option 5
2008 BMW m3 Grey/Black
18k miles CPO everything excepting no 19's, no PDC
CPO!
$52,000 after tax/shipping
What i like Lower miles!
What i dont like- not excited about the color
What would you guys choose? Im leaning to Number 2 or number 3. Number 2 first then Number 3.

Personally, I'd take option 1. Seems like the most bang for your buck. The colour combo is great, especially for resale. Option three is meh, high miles, no warranty, extended warranty is very as great. Remember, happy wife = happy wife lol, get the DCT.

Yes good point. I think i just like the CIC nav over CCC. I wonder how much a full conversion is.

What don't you like about Jerez black? The color itself or keeping it clean? I haven't found the upkeep to be too bad. Car looks good even when less than pristine. I have the black interior but the fox red looks sharp !

I'd say option 1. Not a car you want to own without warranty plus I think you'll come to love the DCT.

I had carbon black for 5 years on my e46. And i had SMG.

I was wanting something different than black. Do you love your Jerez?

Love would be too strong a word. Like your situation I sized up the available choices and went with what I thought was the best. Mine seems similar to your option 1 in that it has every option and was priced attractively to the point where I decided I could 'live' with the color.

Yes, I've been a lurker here for a bit but always have an interest in e93 threads.

It's a great car, had an e36 328iC years ago and was in the Porsche and then Merc family for awhile so it's good to be back in the fold.

What caused you to get a fixed-roof the first time? I'm curious because a lot of people get some convertible time and would never consider getting anything else after (including me), especially where we live.

My recommendation would be to wait it out a little more, there's just mostly 2008 M3s out there with the lease returns right now and the 2009s are really only starting to show up which it seems that you're more interested in. Maybe till year end when people aren't thinking convertible so much and the 08s are about to get a year older. You might also get a better in-service date on a CPO warranty with 09.

True. My e46 m3 was a convertable and the wife (gf back then) loved it! I miss the vert too esp in LA. Unlike a lot of people with the VERT i actually used mine all the time!

I do think the deals im getting on the 2008 are pretty good. The First one is about $48,000 plus tax Option 2 is $46,000 plus tax and option three is $47,000 plus tax.

Now im starting to lean twords number 1.

What year is yours and how much did you pick it up for?

Option 1! Nothing wrong with JZB with all the options. JZB is sharp in the sun...that's why you want an e93! Not that I'm bias.

Personally, if it was my decision I would go with option 1. But, in the end you should do what you want to do.

I bought a jet black/fox red M3 a couple months ago, and I absolutely love the color combo. And yes, for resale value, I think it will do better in the long term than some other combinations out there.

You might want to push back on the price a little bit; I bought my E93 for $59k. It's optioned almost identical to your option 1, but it's a 2010 with 14k miles, so it still has nearly 2.6 years left on the warranty. Also consider things like tires, recent maintenance, etc. If you need to immediately do any of these things, it won't be cheap.

Just my 2 cents. Keep us posted with whatever you choose, and include pics!

Why do you say option 3 comes without warranty?
It has 39K miles (under the 50K miles limit)
And it's an 09, so under the 4 year limit

I'd buy option 2
The reason I fell in love with Melbourne red in the first place is I saw an MR E93 with black novilllo with the top down . Looked gorgeous.
Plus things you dont like are very minor issues
No pdc, no sat radio?
Sat radio can be fixed with the sirius iPhone app
And no pdc?
That's a blessing, not a fault
And no extended leather when you are talking about black makes no difference, since you can't really see it with black.
And the 6PD is the only way to buy this car
Assuming your significant other can drive stick

+1 for option 4. the e93 m3 is meh IMO. get an S2K or a Miata and keep your M3...S2k is epic fun. moreso than an E92 IMO. I have an E46/E90 and a Miata and S2k in my garage and the S2k is the most fun weekend street car I have...

59k after tax that would be 54k before. Incredible deal if true!

Funny how everyone seems to love option 1. And no one loves Option 3 which was my top option.

Lets say option 1 or option 2 is that a great deal that im getting?
