Here is one I just found:
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/4494909819.html I know the guy who is selling this one. I see it every week when we take the kids to their swimming lessons, and I can vouch that it is in immaculate condition: http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/4491779605.html

Agreed! I have just under a year until our cars are completely paid-off. There is a wrinkle in my plans though... the wife has been asking about boats lately.
We have a cabin right on the water on Whidbey Island.

2010 Jerez Black in excellent condition. Very subtle mods at the moment like Brembo BBK, KW V3, and Akra Evo exhaust. Some other small parts too. Let know. |

In regards to the Cali posts, I would certainly be willing to fly to Cali to grab one if it worked out. There seem to be lots there. I'll just continue to be patient and wait for the right one to come around. I've been very close on two of them now and both pulled out at the last minute to trade it into the dealer on a newer BMW and get the tax trade in credit. It's more important to me that I get exactly what I want rather than compromising and get something sooner. |

I am.
I almost got a 2011 E92 melbourne red with a nice set of mods, 29k miles, etc for 43k but the guy backed out at the last moment and traded it in. Next I negotiated with a guy here in Seattle on a E92 with 52k miles, a few mods, etc that someone posted on here from Craig's list. We agreed on a price and then someone else came in and offered more and the guy waffled and decided to trade it in instead. Then just recently I am considering this one: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=985496 2008 E90, nice set of mods, but a lot of miles (73k). He wants 36.5k for it with stock wheels and that seems a bit much given the miles and it's been in two accidents. Also it's going to cost like 2k to ship it across the country and I'd have to buy new wheels also. He's probably going to trade it in. All the E90's I've been looking at have been MT and I'm hedging whether or not I want a MT or DCT. My current E46 M3 is a SMG and I love that and I know DCT is a ton better. I'm used to manuals, this is my first "automatic" and I've read the hundreds of pages of manual vs. DCT fights here but still can't make up my mind. I'm leaning towards DCT though. Basically I'm looking for something that meets most of my requirements and I'll add/fix the rest myself, they are: 2008-2010 E90 preferably, but would take special E92 <60k miles Alpine White exterior Black or bamboo beige interior (maybe fox red, the grey is atrocious) DCT Must have mods: aftermarket exhaust, LCI tails, nice rims (not M220's, preferably OEM or AG 359's in silver or black) Would like mods: Front lip, lowered on springs or coilovers, angel eyes, diffuser Been looking actively for a while now and they're fairly rare. All I find tend to be on the east coast, if I find one in Cali, I'll fly there and drive it back. I don't want to compromise on this purchase, I want to keep this car for 7-8 years. Am I being too picky? Thoughts on Manual vs. DCT? Thanks! |

Everyone is different, not going to knock you for being too picky. You just might be waiting a long time, and if you're fine with that, who cares.
I had my eyes set on an 09+ 6MT E90 with black interior, and either white, red, or blue exterior. I couldn't stand the 08 tail lights and wasn't a fan of any other interior colors. I happened across a 21k mile low mileage lease return 2008 for $39,750 2 years ago, and jumped on it for the price even though it had bamboo beige interior (which i grew to like). I ended up doing the rear LCI conversion a few months ago as well. I just couldn't pass up the deal when 09's were still going for high 40s with low miles. As for 6MT and DCT, they are both great in their own right. DCT for shift speed, better on the track, the rev matching downshifts sound amazing. 6MT is just a more involved driving experience, which is what I prefer overall. I also don't have a warranty, and DCT repairs are $$$. |

I don't think you are being too picky ... you should easily be able to find a car that fits those specs locally. Except for the mod requirements, finding a car that fits that is tough.
Seems like there are 5-1 DCT vs manual cars out here, so that really opens up your options. I wanted a manual and that made my search process a lot more challenging. I picked up my car a few weeks ago, 2009 AW e92 with fox red interior. 49K miles, manual. Fully loaded except parking sensors and rear sunshade. LED tails were updated. Good luck in your search! |

Part of the problem is that in non-LCI models, 2008's specifically, they made 2080 manuals and 200 DCT's. So unless I'm looking at LCI models in 2009+, it's manuals for me.
Bump this to the top though. Still looking. Had a couple of nibbles but nothing yet and I'm ready to buy! |
