run flats in the rear?

searching up my tire options for the new wheels.

I plan to run 255/35/19 fronts and 285/35/19 rears. My first choice is Michelin PSS but i noticed TR only carries the 285/35/19 flavor in PSS run flats.

Anyone see any issues running normal tires in the front and run flats in the rear?

Do you mean 285/30/19? 285/35/19 is too tall of a tire and will rub like crazy.

I ran 285/35/19's before I knew what was up and they fit fine (besides being a bigger diameter).
Is running run flats important to you? Have you considered a 295/30?

Runflats have no importance to me. I didn’t want 295s due to the stagger ratio being further from OEM than the 285s

If you can fit it with your wheels, 265/30 F and 295/30 R would be solid.

what size are your new wheels? I would go with 255/35 and 275/35. Absolutely would not mix run flats with non-run flats. That's a horrible idea. Run flats have a very stiff sidewall and I would avoid them at all costs; especially mixing them with a standard tire.

I'm not sure I can fit those sizes even though the are actually shorter in diameter. The extra sidewall that the 35 series offers is nice too.

wheel sizes are 19x9.5 and 19x11. 275 in the rear is too stretched for my taste.

A) Buy PS4S, not PSS
B) 275/30-19 front
C) 295/30-19 rear
D) Sidewall height on a 295/30-19 is the same as a 255/35, sidewall height on the 275/30-19 is the same as stock 245/35-19's. The ratio is lower, but because the tire is wider, you get the same amount of sidewall, approximately. And more rim protection.
E) Mixing RFT with non-RFT seems dumb

Assuming you mean the 285/30R19 PSS ZP, which is an OEM Corvette tire, I would probably avoid ZP. The ride quality will be worse, the tire will be heavier, and they are more expensive.

Also, for some reason, the Corvette-specific version has a shallower tread depth than other PSS.

275 or 265/30 front, 295/30 rear if your offsets allow. You need et25 or more in the rear.

et19 front
et25 rear

I'm concerned that 265/295 will rub

255/35-19 is a bigger tire than a 265/30-19 within the same tire line. It's a lot taller. You're more likely to rub with the 255/35 than the 265/30 in my opinion.

Offsets are perfect for 265/295. Could do 275 in front as well. -2 camber front and rear.

Yeah don't do the 285/35 or runflat. 265 or 275/30 front with 295/30 rear and you're golden as long as you have that negative camber. Can't wait to see those new wheels!

I'm on 265/295 R888R. ET17 front and ET25 rear, no rub but you have to trim the fender liner at the points where the bumper meets the fender.

is that much negative camber achievable with stock arms and top hats? I don't have camber plates and i'm on OEM arms.

Judd, you decide on the PS4?

do those toyos run "wider" than the PS4?

another combo I was considering would be GTS sizes. 255/35 and 285/30.

Is your car lowered on springs or coil-overs?

You can get to about -1.7 in the front with modest lowering and pulling of the front alignment pins found on the top mounts. There is a DIY. Rear -2 is achievable with stock parts. You can fit my suggested tire sizes with -1.7. I ran 275's with 9.5 et22 wheels back in the day on eibach springs and -1.7 front and rear.

Ok, you will be able to make it work. Go with 265/30 in the front if you want a little more room.
