Service/Tint in MD/VA
Greetings all. I'll be picking up my new M3 in Florida and driving to the MD/VA area, Annapolis/NORVA area to be precise. I'll be looking to get my post 1200 miles maintenance done and would like to get a tint job done. Any recommendations for either? I'll then be driving cross country so don't need to worry about customer loyalty. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

LA tint in Sterling is the best. And its NOVA, not NORVA

+ 1.
I got mine done here, too. Pinnacle 35. I would also invest some money into getting some "clear bra" protection on your new ride for the long ride back to the west coast.

I went to the LA Tint in Woodbridge because the one in Alexandria was out of Pinnacle. It was still a good tint job but I wish I would have waited since I hear the one in Alexandria is better. I think I may go back to get it touched up, the tint on the end of the door windows where the dot matrix is is not sticking as well as I would have liked. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes I've been trying to press it down but it still doesn't make much difference. My 330 has a similar dot matrix on the window and I don't have any problems with that one. Since the M is not my DD and in my garage mostly could it be that it is just hasn't been in the sun enough to completely dry?

you can wait as long as you want for it to dry, but it will still look terrible unless you black out the dots with the overlay.

In the winter, tint can take a long time to dry (up to a few weeks) so that may be the problem on your door windows. As pseto said, vinyl overlay is the best option for the dot matrix on the rear windshield.

Pinacle F1 as it seems to be the best for new cars that have custom key functions, Sat radio, and other electronics and thus doesn't interfere with them as much. 35% tint cause I like a nice tint but not blacked out so you can't see into the vehciles. Just a nice shade to the car to know its tinted and give the occupants some shade.
Same tint and color as I did in my M3 coupe. Pricing was very fair with 10% discount for being a board member and repeat customer and they got me in the same day I called. Tint is warranted lifetime of the car. Give them a try.
