Vanguard Exhaust Owners with DCT

So... anybody else have this exhaust and DCT?

Just wondering cuz my wife has complained about drone when she test drove the car with the new exhaust. She drives in auto mode and DCT likes to keep the RPM at or around 1500-2000 rpm when cruising (below 45mph). At those ranges, the exhaust amplifies the drone that is noticeable even with the stock exhaust. But at 3K rpm or above, the drone is gone.

Btw, the exhaust looks incredible and the welds are immaculate. I dont have the tips attached though as John from Wicked is giving me shorter tips to use for my sedan. I dont think the tips will affect the drone though.

So... anybody else with this exhaust and DCT?

Yeah... I think with DCT configured to cruise below 2K RPM whenever possible, droning will be an inherent problem. What I'm hearing is the drone that exist with the stock exhaust in this RPM range, only louder.

Did you just change the rear section or get the whole exhaust?
I was wondering how that exhaust would sound with an Encore inovation Titanium X-Pipe??

I only changed the rear section.... i have the stock midsection right now. I originally wanted to mate this with a fabspeed xpipe with HFC and resonators but I think the combination might be too loud.

The only way to do that is to change the driving mode to D5 so that the RPM is kept higher for better acceleration. The wife doesn't like driving in D5 though...too aggressive for her tast

I guess she'll just have to deal with it

That is what I wanted to do. Either with the Fabspeed or Encore innovation X-Pipe with HFC's.. I guess no one here tried this setup yet..

I'd venture to say that the Agency Power exhaust is a little louder than the Vanguard, and my AP sounds great with the EI catted x-pipe. Most resonated x-pipes with cats will give you a slightly higher pitched sound in my experience .

344 with a drop-in filter and AA's off-the-shelp map. 388whp equates to 487 crankshaft HP on this dyno .

That's a whole lot of HP with the xpipe and the exhaust
