Cool Race Precision RPi Ram Intake Scoops *DYNO/PICTURES*

Hi Everyone,

I'm proud to be an authorized dealer for Race Precision (RPi). RPi's Ram Air Scoop is a cost efficient mod that gives real wheel horsepower.

The Ram Air Scoops converts your factory intake system into a ram air type. Other aftermarket induction kits mostly suck in hot air causing a loss of performance. The use of heat shields are not very affective as heat shields mainly work to block radiant heat. Utilizing the stock intake boxes, expect an 8-15whp gain with 70mph airflow.

DYNO

What do you guys think?

Lots of debate about scoops in general, although I will say that if any company out there made an effective set, it would be RPi. I know its not free, but why not go outspend a few bucks on these...at best they are one of the best $/hp mods out there, at worst the placebo effect will make you feel better!

Very true its seems like only RPI has the scoops for M3/M5/M6
and reading from the past threads its been a good mod.

But how is it dynoed at 70mph with the HP gains/?

No shit you aint kidding!!!, I know that Eloy at RPI uses the same fan for all his proven tests of these scoops on the M5 and M6. I put the scoops in my M6 and gained around 12 hp at the wheels- not bad for the price and its all incremental hp.

so don't, your loss. even if it only gives 5hp, its worth it IMO for under $100 bux.

that's fine. this mod isn't for everyone but most love the product. the scoop does come with a 30 day money back guarantee just in case you feel like it doesnt work.

Aleks the gain on the M3 varies but its generally less than what the M5 and M6's gained as I have been told but there are gains at the 70+ mph mark. I got some real nice gains from the M6 scoops and its all relative the price you pay: For the M3, 7 hp for 100 dollars or close to that is an excellent ratio IMHO.

This isnt SOTP hp that you will feel but like I said earlier its incremental hp that doesnt hit the pocketbook hard!!

Even if the scoops add 2hp that equates to $50 per HP...a relative bargain in my book .

you have a nice stable of cars buddy! Very tastefully modded too.

Sorry to go off topic, regarding the RPi, I feel a lil regret selling mine. Will be getting another set soon, in different color of course!

Hmm I've seen other comprehensive dyno tests of these scoops that showed absolutely no gain whatsoever.
But as snake oil goes it not too expensive.
