Vorsteiner GTS5
I finally had time to prepare the bumper. I had to drill the holes for PDC and the wash system for the headlights.
I donīt like the frontlip that comes with that bumper so I decided to mount my Revinora frontlip, but I have to repair the lip first, cracked it some weeks ago. I will do a photoshoot when the lip is mounted and my Strasse Forged Wheels arrive. Hopefully end of next week! I wanted to post some pics, because I think there wasnīt a black M3 with that bumper mounted. regards, Patrick

I like my gts5 bumper on jet black. I think the lip is just fine. So much more aggressive looking.

Photo from my phone. Hopefully get a nicer photo session soon. As long as 4x4 pieces of wood don't fly at me on the highway anytime soon....again.

Thanks guys! I know I really need to lower it, people have said my car looks like a lifted 4x4 ride height! LOL. I'm just really worried with the front lip plus LA's horribly paved roads, i'll be scraping left and right. What would you guys recommend for the least acceptable drop? |

Moar pics!! I just went GTS3 on my jet black but I think I may be regretting that decision after seeing the GTS5 in black - its definitely not nearly as "busy" in the darker color.
As far as fitment with the vorsteiner bumpers there are a couple of things to look out for. The area around the headlights needs to be trimmed, the lower grille area needs to be cut down until the grille fits correctly and if you get a GTS3 with the tow hook cover the cover doesn't click into the fiberglass correctly, doesn't sit centered or flush in the hole and also is not in the correct place on the bumper so I recommend just shaving it off like the GTS5. Also, you are going to be spending more (about 3x at a high end shop) in paint and body work than an OEM part if you want it done right since it needs a lot more prep (guide coat and block sanding) to get the surface flat and remove all pinholes, etc. Last edited by W Cole; 07-04-2013 at 03:09 PM.. |
