CEL is not only for emissions but for a number of issues. Those causes may affect emissions..but a camshaft sensor will do more than make you pass emissions.

What these do for those who are catless, regardless of manufacture (ESS, AA, COBB ETC) will trick the rear oxygen sensor (which references cat efficiency) into thinking everything is OK...when in reality, it should be throwing the code. Just an FYI to those who didn't understand how it works.
