Going to 275's in the rear
Would I need 275/35/19 or 275/30/19 for it to look right and for the speedo to be closest to accurate as possible

I think you will find the 275/35-19 to be best for speedometer accuracy. The car reads high already. The very slight increase in diameter will only reduce how much the speedo reads high. Check the TireRack site for information on the difference in diameters.
I think the speedo reads somewhere between 3 and 5 percent high. If the new tire is less than 3 percent larger in diameter than stock, your speedo accuracy will actually improve. |

I was thinking that the speedo read high also because we have some stationary speed zones by our school here where your speed flashes followed by 'SLOW DOWN'... where did you come accross this information on the 3-5% error?

Would 275/30/19 look funny? I saw a pic once and everyone was saying how small they looked or something. Also how would 255/35/19 be in the front? Would that make things look weird?

Go 285 or 295 /30. They should fit on stock wheels

Well, almost--it's circumference you need to compare, not diameter. A 35 larger diameter will give you a 9+% larger circumference, which translates to 9% fewer revs/mile.

Thanks Greg. Wait a second! Circ = pi*D Therefore 3% increase in D = 3% increase in circumference. Gotcha. |
