Anyone here have a Man-cave or Woman-cave?

I have an extra bedroom in my house...which I've converted to a guestroom/office so I have the flexibility to work from home if I choose to and also welcome friends that visit my wife and I from out of town...along with family.

The problem is there is no TV in it. The only TV's are in the living room and the master bedroom (which never gets watched). The TV in the master is an older tv...nothing great.

I've really been thinking about converting the guest bedroom into something like another living room...just with an office side to it, but still allowing friends to visit and sleep over. It would need to be a: bedroom/office/living room.

The problem is when the wife is watching the tube...it's horrible! I want to watch ESPN and Animal Planet...she wants to watch E! and HGTV

In attempts to make this marrage work..."I like most men", cave in and watch Klhoe and Lamar or something like that...

So I've been thinking of maybe buying a sofa that flips to a bed (takes care of the bedroom part), move my desk to the side (takes care of the office part) and just buy something like a 47inch and mount it on the wall.

I'm looking to see if anyone has done anything like this in their house/condo/apartment/trailer.

A man can only take so much HGTV Property Virgins and Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Wtf is it about Discovery HD Theater, Nat Geo and Animal Planet that draws me in? Seriously, if it isn't sports it is one of these 3 channels. There is something about an alligator in a death roll that makes for extremely entertaining television.

I have a separate room in the house aside from the living room that has another couch, desk for the computer and small tv in it. It also has two closets which is nice. I hardly use it though. I would show you a picture, but Im afraid its not very manly.

It seems pleasant though...

What I really want is something that can be used to work, watch JETS games on Sunday and still look good.

I don't feel like spending the cash to bring in an interior stylest...

My parents caught on to my plan when I brought the first girl over and took her to my man cave. Living with your parents sucks.

depends how late at night and what night really. pretty much all the people that rent out this apt complex are college kids like myself, thus they're usually just as loud. Ive had a few complaints since i got my new loudspeakers, but that was sort of expected.
