Need to remove the mufflers or bumper to change tips?

Im getting the satin black grilles/gills/tips. Can I remove the muffler tips without taking off the exhaust or bumper? I know they are attached by rivets, but ive never removed rivets before and some of them are difficult to reach. Can you remove some of the rivets without a drill, since it wont fit, without damaging anything?

im pretty sure theyre riveted on top and bottom, so youre going to atleast drop the muffler. Are you re-riveting the tips or are you welding them?

Im re-riveting. I wonder how hard it is to drop the mufflers enough to get the rivets out?

Its very, very easy. 6 bolts, and the 2 clamps than connect your muffler to your xpipe. are you putting the car on jack stands or do you have access to a lift.

I have jack stands but my friend has a lift that I might use. Im pretty sure I can do the xpipe, but the exhaust tips are being put on at a different time. Is there a way to lower the mufflers in order to change the tips?

you can swing the muffler down if you disconnect the clamps on the xpipe, and the hangers on the muffler, but be sure to leave the hangers on the connecting pipes attached. Than you should be able the drop the muffler a bit without completely removing from the car.

Thanks, ill jack the car up and see what I can do. Although it might be best to do the tips and xpipe at the same time.
