Has anyone driven the 7 Speed twin clutch transmission M3 ?

What do you think?

Are there any technical articles on the new transmission (and the V-8 also)

Haven't driven one yet but a friend just got one and it is absolutely amazing. If your looking to get the maximum performance out of your car this is the way to go. Plus the downshifting throttle blips are just fun!

I drove an '08 shit was good. But, i hate complicated shit. I like to put it in gear and take off. I still get an erection over a 3rd gear trip. Shit is hot.

A high % of the people on the forum have the double clutch transmission.
For opinions you can search the forum. You will find a lot of info about it.

I 'think' you loose a clutch pedal, but get an extra gear.

No i haven't driven this fancy schmanzy dual clutch thing. My M3 has a stick but BMW screwed it up and forgot to put a clutch pedal in. Every time I get on the highway I can't change out of 1st gear and I've been redlining the engine ever since. I've done 25000 miles and haven't had an oil change yet. I think when I sell my car I can get $3000 over MSRP. After all, my dealer is still asking for $15k over sticker. I just checked the stock market and Dow is at 13000 pts. The calendar says June 5, 2008.

Anyone still have pics of that nut job who did a 3 hour blue painters tape job to his car for the ride home? That moron still takes the cake.

NEVER.

Never has ANYONE on a M3 Message board driven a DCT M3 (V-8). What would make you think anyone here would have driven 1 of only 2 transmission types available? what a crazy question.
