2008 E93 M3 Navigation & iDrive Issues

I really need you guys' help. I've put my 2008 E93 M3 into BMW service over 15 times over the past year for the same issue with my Navigation system. They've even had the BMW Engineers come out with no resolution. They just keep

replacing my CCC and reprogramming my system and telling me it's fixed. I only have 44,000 miles on this car and have never been in an accident. The only mods are halo bulb upgrades, intake, dinan exhaust & lowered. It started out just asking me to insert the Navi disc. After i picked up my vehicle this last time, the new symptom started where the iDrive would reboot or black out as I'm driving. Help please!!?!??!

Here are the symptoms.

Monitor the battery voltage while you drive. Perhaps you're getting some voltage spikes which will cause the CCC to reboot. It's a well known issue on the M5/6 with the voltage regulator. You can buy cigarette lighter plug in adaptors with digital voltage displays on them so that you won't have to keep a voltmeter connected while driving.

Also make note of any accessories you're using at the time- ie: seat heaters, bluetooth, audio source etc. as well as the ambient conditions. Include temp and weather- ie: rain, snow etc. Are there certain locations that the reboots or lockups occur? Perhaps there's some kind of interference in that location, if it's easy to duplicate on a certain road or road surface. That type of info is helpful.

Sounds like the CCC is bad, it's a common issue.

Either replacement or upgrade to a CIC would be the best bet.
