What tire pressure AD08R
What tire pressures are you guys running with the AD08Rs? I just got a set, I assume the start point isn't that different than RE-11s I ran last season, but good to know what you guys are running, give me cold and hot pressures if you have them. Thanks

I ran AD08s last season. Hopefully not apples/oranges.
I generally started at ~ 32 psi cold and ended up about 36-37 psi hot throughout the day. (On one particularly hot day (110F ambient) this ended up at 28 psi cold the next day.) I'm not convinced that these were optimal, though. Car felt loose at times, but this may have been me overdriving. I may try 40 psi hot like some others have, just to see. |

38-40 seems to be what I read for both AD08s and PSSes, with NT01s closer to 38. Keep in mind though that if you drive a cooldown lap, your pressures will have dropped somewhat from their peak during your laps by the time you check them, especially on a long track since the cooldown will have taken longer -- which could explain the variance in the recommended pressures.

In my experience, 40 hot is the sweet spot. To achieve this I shoot for anywhere around 31-33 cold. Have been running the AD08's for 3 years and the R's for my last 3 events last year and found the pressures targets to be similar although the R's felt and performed better. Really looking forward to more experience with the R's this season. Let us know how it goes and have fun!

Ran them for the first time last weekend. It was almost too cold to move the car for tech in the morning. Anyway, I started 36 cold. This led to morning runs with hot of 38 and afternoon runs with hot of 40-41. I like the 40 range better. It was stable and sticky. P.S. this was on a light BMW not an E92 M3.

Haven't been on the track yet but I can tell you based on the rubbing I'm getting over bigger bumps (no spacers) these tires run larger than the Bridgestone RE-11s. I was running 285 RE-11s in back with no issues but the 275 AD-08s rub on bumps on the same wheels.

FWIW, Australian time attack teams are running these significantly lower -- 30-32 psi hot. I also found them to perform well at those lower pressures. As always, YMMV. I would encourage people to try both ends of the range.

Ideal pressure also depends on the cars weight and the tire size relative to weight. Heavier cars on smaller tires tend to need more pressure than lighter cars with wider tires.

But honestly if you think you're at the level where a pound or two of tire pressure makes a huge difference and you really care about that last tenth, you should be using a pyrometer, which will immediately and conclusively tell you the proper tire pressure for your car and driving style.

I'm running 28psi to start. Grips like velcro for me. I end up around 35-37 hot. This is running on 275/30 fronts and 305/30 rears.....
GREAT tire is you want an all-arounder!!

I'm another one in the camp of 38-39 hot (275/35/18 AD08). I used them for 14 days on track in that range and they held up great.
