Question What Would Look Better on SG? (Ext. Mods)

Thinking about doing the following as my first mods:

Gloss Black Kidney Grills
Gloss Black Side Grill
Gloss Black Bumper Reflector Cover
Gloss Black Hood Vents

or

Same as above but in CF?

I'm looking to keep this in a gloss appearance to match the trim but then again I want to do some CF accents but I don't want to send it way over the top by adding too much and making it look like ****. I used to have CF Grills on my E46 M3 but they faded over time and started to fall apart so a part of me wants to steer away from that. Can anyone help me out on this? What is the consensus that everyone prefers? Thanks!

Edit: Mods I thought I was in the Int and Ext Forum. Could you please move? Thanks.

If you want a cool OEM Black Gloss finish go with the "M3 Edition" Grilles & Gills. They have a satin black chrome finish.

True but does the finish match the gloss black trim pieces of the car, i.e around the door/windows and mirrors, etc...?

It does 98% of the time. When light reflects directly on it, it has a dark purple hue. Hard to explain. To the untrained eye it looks like a clean gloss black. I have a set but no pics.

I have the glossy black front grills on my '09 SG which I ordered through BMW. I had my side gills painted glossy black to match. I left the hood vents untouched. The front grills and the side gills match the trim around the windows.

I have CF kidney grill/hood vents/mirror caps on my SG M3 and I think it looks great. I've gotten several complements on them too.

Just a suggdestion, please copy JIO's car and don't do gloss black hood grilles or side markers. A lot of people try to do the hood grilles or the reflectors in black and the consensus is that it never looks right.

Call and talk to IND. If you give them your ideas they will gladly advise you on a setup that looks exactly how you want it.

Do you have the CF roof? If you do I would go with the CF but if not, go with the black.

SG compliments cf as its not too dark of a color.
For cf add-ons: lip, diffuser, spoiler. That's it. No more cf, except maybe side mirror covers. DONE. No cf grills/gills bla3.

+1.

paint the reflectors to match. why make them stick out more? they look terrible, so the idea is to draw as little attention to them as possible (or have them filled in / removed if you want to do it right).

If your gonna surpress all of the chrome then you might as well get a gloss black rear emblem as well.

I have a box from IND at home with the following mods for my SG to be:
  • M3 Edition Gloss Black Grilles
  • M3 Edition Gloss Black Gills
  • SG Painted Reflectors
  • SG Painted Key Cover
  • Gloss Black M3 Emblem
