I've heard on the news in Taiwan that an OBGYN doc. kept the placenta from patients, cook em, and ate em to keep himself from aging

i wonder if people realize what the placenta really is... it's connected to the baby to provide the baby with nutrients but it's also where the baby makes poop.

The placenta is an organ, right? So by eating a human organ, doesn't that qualify as cannibalism?

@Wes., remember our ccc-discussion about lightweight materials being used, its projected...

If you guys have not seen the Dragon Shield Coatings- Blast Resistant Coating Youtube video you MUST check it out...there is this material called Polyurea it is commonly mixed with loose Kevlar fibers and called Rhino Lining, the fibers give the lining the gritty feel and of course more strength and rigidity..about midway through the video they coat a block wall and blast it and this stuff resists!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw9DQm62zaU

Who wants a front bumper or front lip that wouldn't easily crack/break?

We already have the technology, but not at the price point that it needs to be. I don't think we'll see a drastic difference in material being used for quite some time. It will happen eventually, no doubt about that, but we probably won't see a real difference for another 25 years.

Before companies really start to focus on lightweight materials, I think we'll see 7 and 8 speed transmissions being incorporated, across the board. A 1.6L or 2.0L Turbo engine with an 8 speed transmission should yield some excellent MPG results. It's an easy solution (temporary) for a not so easy problem (increasing efficiency).
