WHAT THE FUCK!? I hope you're alright man! They should change the law and allow the victim if able, a chance to at least beat the shit out of the offender for a good 5 minutes prior to calling the cops.

Wow. Glad you're mostly ok.
Modern car design is amazing though. The center portion of the car looks completely normal, while the front and read ends are destroyed. I don't think you have to worry about whether the insurance company will consider the car totaled. It's pretty clear that's unfixable. Not sure about the whole diving out of the car during the accident thing though. I'd rather have 3700 lbs of German steel/aluminum around me while everyone is playing bumper cars. |

It goes to show one what happens in a split second when one takes his / her eyes off the road. Both hands on the wheel are of prime importance and in the case of the young lady she should have pulled over to clean up her coffee spill mess. She was lucky not having been killed or sustained life threatening injuries. Even with my hands free phone ... when it rings, I keep it very short or I pull over since one can never fully concentrate on both driving and holding a conversation.

SO true. Firstly, thank God you were able to walk away. However, the pix of your car are tragic. I'm so sorry!

Dude that is crazy! Is the insurance company still going to cover it since you were at a track?

You don't run a marathon while eating dinner? Or have a cold beer during sex? People need to stop talking on phones, txting, drinking, eating, putting make-up on and every other thing they do EXCEPT drive when they are supposed to be driving. This is why the Europeans, Germans especially, laugh at us. Cheers, e46e92

Holy cow!!! You'd have been better off hitting a deer instead . Seriously, glad you're okay. Lesson learned: there's no need to stop for deer; you just slow down enough not to hit them. They can easily evade a vehicle at 15/20 mph. And they're not like cattle; they want to get the hell out of your way.
I know it's hard to always evade a distracted driver, but if the Accord was 2 miles behind, what the hell was the car in front waiting for??? A deer funeral procession? And couldn't you just pass the Saturn and continue on your merry way ? Am sure there's a lesson from your accident. Almost always there's something you could have done to avoid it, short of a meteorite falling from the sky. As long as you don't make the same mistake twice, it's called 'life experience' . Take care. |
