Exclamation Lamborghini Urus Performonte

Come to Big Marcus...

https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...-losing-weight

Quote:
On the Urus, the designation signals extra power, less weight, and a more aggressive stance realized through a lowered ride height (by 20 millimeters) and wider body (by 16 mm).
Peak power is generated by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 and registers at 657 hp, up a modest 16 hp on the standard Urus. The result is a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. That's 0.2 seconds quicker to 60 than the standard Urus, though the top speed is the same for both versions.

To go with the extra power, the vehicle also benefits from a weight saving of 103 pounds. This was achieved via the addition of a carbon-fiber hood, lighter suspension springs, reduced sound deadening, and several other mods. The vehicle still tips the scales at a substantial 5,200 pounds, though.

When a 5300 lbs behemoth loses 100 lbs - this sheds less than 2% of the total weight.

The 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante is set to go on sale by the end of the year, and it carries a significant starting price of $264,871. That's almost $35K more than the 2022 Urus, which had a base price of $229,495.

Yes it's pretty much the Q8 under the skin.

It really is rather disheartening to read the UR A ANUS makes up almost 50% of the Bull's sales.......I will admit it does look rather good, if a bit SHOUTY though.

The great thing about AWD is it will get you moving and out-accelerate your ability to turn or stop.

Different class of vehicle, but similar performance. Rivian R1S is the same length, a little taller. The R1S weighs over 6900lbs. EV's are way heavier.

Correct for some reason I saw 6350, instead of 5350.

Are there any Lambos that don't look a bit "shouty"?

I was driving behind a new SQ8 today and it was terribly understated in appearance. The RSQ8 doesn't look much different.

There's no replacement for the look and image of driving a Lamborghini vs its other platform mates IMO.

This doesn't look all that different to me than a BMW X6M, in fact, it looks very similar. Same with the Audi equivalent. The chopped and lowered SUV form looks generally the same from each of the manufacturers. Put it another way, 500 or 1000 feet away, it looks like any of these other cars.

A true Lamborghini, a coupe that comes up to about your waist and is wider than you are tall, that's something that stands out and is unique.

I get that people want the name or to one-up their neighbor, but I see exotic as something that will usually increase in value. Not so sure with everyone making SUVs that it will work out that way...

I agree, I'm not an SUV person either. Unless an Urus is in a loud color it kinda has that typical crossover look, not the supercar look you expect for such a high price and esteemed brand. But still compared to most other SUVs on the market it has a little extra drama and definitely seems more fun to drive.

I drove a RSQ8 finally and have now driven all of the cousins. Meh. Why is the throttle tuning on those cars so bad? The RSQ8's gears felt like they were forever. I liked the Urus TCU flash the most, it's shifts felt spicy. Best suspension and drive feel goes to the Cayenne GT.

I'll stick to my X5M. I still can't believe it's as fast as it is for being a huge semi truck.

I agree. If your shopping for and can afford the Bull you most likely didn't even give the Audi a thought. Lol. Same as if your shopping for a new GT3RS. Your not going to look at M4's, C8's GTR's and so on
