Too bad they don't come in manly sizes, I was going to order a set... I believe the widest they come in is 305's, sigh...

I believe I also declined a $3 per corner fee to refresh TPMS components, since I have brand new TPMS sensors in hand.

Costco rotates their $70 off promotion every 4 weeks between Bridgestone and Michelin, so if you can hold out, just make your purchase the next time it's active for Michelin. As for the 1 cent installation promotion, I think those are rare/spur of the moment/2-day only things that are few and far in between, so you might be holding your breathe for quite a while waiting for another one.

Someone also posted in the other PS4S thread that Discount Tire has thrm for a cheaper installed price than Tire Rack's uninstalled price by about ~$100 per set (probably varies depending on sizes); I'd imagine if you figured in what TireRack charges for shipping and/or installation, the savings would be comparable to what Costco is offering during Michelin promotion months. The PS4S doesn't show up on Discount Tire's website when I did a search by size though, so you probably have to call and take it from there.

Goodluck!
Tire rack told me they will always price match btw. They were even willing to price match Onlinetires.com (cheapest freaking website for tires in the world) as long as I added the shipping which is only $11 per tire.
I had to order Michelin PS2 because Ps4 doesn't come in 315/30/19

That's good to know! I wonder if they would match promotional stuff too like the $70 off per set of 4, 1 cent installation, and free shipping to any franchise location. It wouldnt be nearly as good if it were just a price match for the difference in retail cost per tire.

did a little wet driving today. Now these could be the placebo effect but I felt like it took more throttle to snap the rear end than the PSS. For some reason the 4s just seem "gooier" then the PSS when touching them too. I'll still stand by my comment of being quieter. My wife even commented on it, so that's when you really know.

I just got a my set shipped to one of my stores. They're pretty soft tires; that's why they're noticeably lighter than the PSS. When you say gooey, do you mean they feel less stable? Or just stickier?

The PSS has a pretty stiff sidewall. These absolutely do not.

If you think the PSS has stiff sidewalls, you should really try Yokohama AD08R. It's rock hard. PSS is very soft which is why I don't run it on track anymore.

I've driven on more tires than most folks, including the AD08R. I'll rephrase, the PSS has a very thick bottom half. The AS3 is built the same way, though it isn't even remotely the same type of tire. The AD08R is incredibly stiff; almost too stiff. I'm currently running Pirellis on my E92, and I don't hate them, but they're also rock solid. What's the point of having a tire that hard for non-track use?

I tracked the PSS at an event a few years ago and I definitely think there are better tires out there for it; I don't know why people track the PSS. It's capable, but not the best option.

One last thing is the weight of the tire, wow! They are crazy light, almost scary light.
I know what you are trying to say.

Like a Pilot Sport Cup 2 tire, the words Pilot Sport Cup 2 are in a different rubber and pop and look really good.

what would you recommend as a middle point between ad08r and pss in terms of sidewall stiffness? re-11?

Wut?

The PSS has the softest sidewall ever! Are you comparing them to bubble gum?

Just got a set installed as my rear PSS's were at the wear indicator. I immediately noticed that they were quieter and the ride was better. I swapped out my winter PA4's about a week ago and I was still getting used to the ride of the PSS's since the roads here in RI are so bad.

been riding on ps4s for a week now, OEM 245/35 and 265/35 sizes. as noted they are much quieter and ride smooth. very sticky too even though temps are still in the mid 40s. getting lots of little pebbles kick up in the wheel well. sidewalls seem to be a little higher..maybe to accomodate stiff sidewalls?

After about a 140 mile road trip I really like these tires. They are much smoother that the PSS's on the highway. I'm not sure what the hype is about the sidewall design though. Doesn't seem that special to me.

I'm in New England and got mine from Sullivan Tire. Compared to Tire Rack I just about broke even after factoring in mounting and road force balancing. If you're in the market for a new set of tires these are probably the best bang for the buck in terms of performance upgrade for your car as the PS4's are only a couple hundred bucks more than PSS's for a full set. These things are virtually silent compared to other tires I've had on the highway.

I'll be sure to update this thread with measurements and feedback on fitment in a few weeks. Though the tires are arriving within a few days, I won't be getting these mounted until I'm back home from TDY, which won't be until the second week of April.

I have 275/30R19 front & 295/30R19 rear going on a set of 9.5x19 ET23 front & 10.5x19 ET23 rear Volk TE37 Ultra's; car is currently equipped with an Ohlin's R&T suspension setup with Vorschlag camber plates.
Did you get a change to mount/measure yet? I'm very curious about fitment. I'm like 1 or 2 mm away from rubbing with PSS 275/30/19 at full lock with Forgestar F14 SDC 19x10 +19 with KW clubsports at -2* camber. Guessing I'll probably have to go with 265 for the 4S.

Will be mounting tires to wheels this Friday, and hopefully wheels to vehicle this Sunday. Trying to knock out a BBK install at the same time, so we shall see.

I have them and I absolutely love them. They are quieter for sure and also noticeably more comfortable. Compared to pss. I went for a slightly bigger size with 255 upfront and 275 rear.

I am now rocking m4 sizes and the sticker on the f82 says 32/32 psi front to back. That car is only 100 pounds lighter so I don't see that being the reason. Should I stick to the 35/36 or whatever it says on my e92 m3, when running 255/275? Or, should I run 32/32? Thanks!

P4s in case it isn't obvious from above.
