Too bad they don't come in manly sizes, I was going to order a set... I believe the widest they come in is 305's, sigh...

That's good to know! I wonder if they would match promotional stuff too like the $70 off per set of 4, 1 cent installation, and free shipping to any franchise location. It wouldnt be nearly as good if it were just a price match for the difference in retail cost per tire.

did a little wet driving today. Now these could be the placebo effect but I felt like it took more throttle to snap the rear end than the PSS. For some reason the 4s just seem "gooier" then the PSS when touching them too. I'll still stand by my comment of being quieter. My wife even commented on it, so that's when you really know.

The PSS has a pretty stiff sidewall. These absolutely do not. |

If you think the PSS has stiff sidewalls, you should really try Yokohama AD08R. It's rock hard. PSS is very soft which is why I don't run it on track anymore.

I tracked the PSS at an event a few years ago and I definitely think there are better tires out there for it; I don't know why people track the PSS. It's capable, but not the best option. |

Wut?
The PSS has the softest sidewall ever! Are you comparing them to bubble gum?

Just got a set installed as my rear PSS's were at the wear indicator. I immediately noticed that they were quieter and the ride was better. I swapped out my winter PA4's about a week ago and I was still getting used to the ride of the PSS's since the roads here in RI are so bad.

been riding on ps4s for a week now, OEM 245/35 and 265/35 sizes. as noted they are much quieter and ride smooth. very sticky too even though temps are still in the mid 40s. getting lots of little pebbles kick up in the wheel well. sidewalls seem to be a little higher..maybe to accomodate stiff sidewalls?

After about a 140 mile road trip I really like these tires. They are much smoother that the PSS's on the highway. I'm not sure what the hype is about the sidewall design though. Doesn't seem that special to me.

I'm in New England and got mine from Sullivan Tire. Compared to Tire Rack I just about broke even after factoring in mounting and road force balancing. If you're in the market for a new set of tires these are probably the best bang for the buck in terms of performance upgrade for your car as the PS4's are only a couple hundred bucks more than PSS's for a full set. These things are virtually silent compared to other tires I've had on the highway.

I have them and I absolutely love them. They are quieter for sure and also noticeably more comfortable. Compared to pss. I went for a slightly bigger size with 255 upfront and 275 rear.

I am now rocking m4 sizes and the sticker on the f82 says 32/32 psi front to back. That car is only 100 pounds lighter so I don't see that being the reason. Should I stick to the 35/36 or whatever it says on my e92 m3, when running 255/275? Or, should I run 32/32? Thanks!
P4s in case it isn't obvious from above. |
