DSC light on, codes appeared!
Had what seemed to be a battery issue recently - car was hard to start on a cold morning. Anyway, it was fine after I put the car on the trickle charger.
Today, took the car out for a very very short journey that I shouldve probably walked. On restarting the engine the DSC light stayed on and could not be switched off. I read the codes using my accessport and cleared them, but they were right back there. Here's the list 0DAD 2C7F 2FBD 2ACC I know the last one is relating to the DME and a relay delay. The rest are a mystery and I can only find them mentioned as 'shadow' codes Do i just have a dead battery (or issue that could cause one), or is my dsc unit fried (or steering angle / speed sensor) Any clues before I head to my independent BMW garage? Thanks! |

You're better off posting in the e90 section since this section is mainly for M3's.
Failing batteries can cause a host of issues and tons of fault codes. If you suspect it might be the battery, measure voltage with the car on and with the car off. With it on you should see 13.8 to 14.3. With the car off you should see 12.2-12.7. If there is no issue there then proceed with diagnosis of what would cause those faults.
