Sub 4s 0-60 M3?
Anyone achieve a sub 4 second M3, and if so what mods?
Kinda wish M3 could hit 4.0 for the price as I want to buy and know I'm faster than most. |

However.....this has NEVER been replicated by anyone else, nor by C&D themselves. Makes you wonder. Reliably, DCT will get you 4.2-4.3, and manual 4.4-4.5, once you learn how to properly launch the car.

Road and track ran 4.1 with a 6mt. A full bolt on and a good launch can probably get under 4 sec. A good 0-60 time is really going to be dependent on traction.

0-60 is a race for slow cars....

If I told you the m3 hit 0-60 in 4.0 sec but it really did it in 4.5 sec would you be able to tell the difference?
Don't get so wrapped up in trivial stats. |

When people ask me what the 0-60 time on it is I usually say I have no idea as it doesn't stop at 60
For a daily with a lot of highway driving 60-130 is more important IMO. Of course it's also where I can get traction. Can't wait for this Vbox timer to come in to see what it's doing...

Yes I would tell the different by 0.5s, especially in the 4 range.
Anyway, I believe the AA supercharger oughta do the trick. |

From what I have read, about a 5% change is where you can begin to perceive a difference. 95% of all people will feel a difference with a 10% change, which is like the difference in 0-60 between an M3 and a Z06 Vette.

Tried it once with my M3 when it was stock with 80 miles on it. 100 degree day. Slightly uphill. First time it was 4.8 seconds as I hit the rev limit/fuel cut off in 1st gear. Second time I short shifted 1st gear at around 7,800 RPM and got 4.2 seconds.
It's not a stat I care about but with practice and better conditions I could have produced some consistent 3.7- 3.9's easily. On my 335 (tune, meth, LSD) I did it a few times and started in the 4.2 to 4.3 range starting in 2nd gear (6AT) and after lots of practice got consistent 3.8's with a best of 3.5 (also slightly uphill). All tests with the M3 and 335 were done on factory tires at normal PSI on desolate city streets.
