Man you've got a nice shine on your car!
Still feeling my way around. AW is nice and easy to keep, working my way through bit by bit (as much by hand due to lack of 220 power = lots of exersise...☺). |

Very nicely done. How did you like working with BMW paint? Some don't like it and say it's a pain in the ass. I don't mind it actually. It is much softer than Mercedes paint.

Thanks! I always like collinite 845 on white but like the slickness and sheen of the power lock after a deep clean and polish.

Thanks Steve! The bmw pain is horribly hard. It's much harder to work with than Honda paint or porsche paint. It's very hard, and a typical one step on soft paint is a hard two step on bmw paint. Like the write up said, M105 on surbuf and super intensive polish on a yellow pad is not the typical regimen. But on softer pain it would have been SIP on a yellow pad and Menz 203 power finish on a green pad. It definitely takes patience to work on BMW pain. I had an E46 that was gray that was hard as well, and my wife drives an X5 that also has very hard paint. I've never wokred on Mercedes paint but I can't imagine it being any harder than BMW paint. Let me know if I can help. |
