Tire wear question

Here are my rear contisport3's. I've highlighted what I noticed to be unusual wear. Literally divots in the tread.

Only on one side and on the inside of the tire.

I've posted the other tire for comparison.

Normal? of something wrong with the tire?

I looked at mine and there is a small sipe on the end of each void where you circled. Mine have wore some there also. Could be normal. Tire Rack has pictures of tire new and you can see the sipes.
