Exclamation Macht Schnell X-Pipe + what axle back?

So i installed the Macht Schnell X-Pipe and it sounds awesome but it does have a bit of rasp maybe? I'd like to change the axle back to help clean up the sound but not add to much more noise and nicer exhaust tips. Is it possible to do this? Maybe Milltek? I'd like to keep it under $2k.

ESS. The MS x-pipe makes them all much louder. Even with HFC welded in place, my Remus was quite loud. If you can find an older Borla Touring, that would be a good choice.

I had the same problem with the factory muffler and MS x-pipe, really raspy.

Does it sound raspy with a 2 pipe perforated mod rear section?

I just installed the Macht Schnell x pipe this past weekend. I am running it with the AE Performance rear section, and I must say the sound is incredible. It is everything I wanted. The AE Performance has 3.5" brushed (as opposed to polished) stainless tips, which look awesome IMO. Check out the review I just posted:

Hard to say, since everyone's opinion of "too loud" and "too raspy" is always different. As far as only having the single set of factory resonators, I am not sure if it will be louder/raspier compared to my setup since I have never heard a Macht Schnell x pipe with the single set of resonators in person. If I had to guess, I would say it would sound very similar to my quad resonated one. I was very particular about how I wanted my car to sound, and luckily I got what I wanted (hardly any rasp and very loud at WOT). The nice thing about my setup is it can still be tame when just cruising around town at normal speeds. Hope this helps.

I'd be curious if having an MS x-pipe and iPE muffler with remote would be a better choice

I installed the factory X-pipe for now. Don't get me wrong, the Remus sounds fantastic, just too loud for me driving with my family.

But, I am going with the Borla Touring. After swapping mufflers, x-pipe, HFC x-pipe, etc. I am going to tone it down.

I have MS x pipe with IPE mufflers. Sounds amazing when valves are open and surprisingly quiet with valves closed.
If you can find a used IPE exhaust I say go for it. You will not be disappointed
