After a 400 mile round trip over the weekend. Just keeps getting better with age!

I've also averaged 22.1mpg on a roadtrip. Was basically doing 70mph, cruise on the entire tank, AC off, totally flat ground.

Was just reading somewhere someone got 28MPG he said it was like a 200mi trip at 50mph the whole way though, and he let off miles before he had to come to a stop

This seems about right for the most radical driving style. Last summer we took a 6500 mile road trip on back roads and never saw anything above 24mpg. My problem is that about every five minutes I need to run her up through the gears.

7.4? No way without idling downhill Vsix! I do 12.0 a sunny day on flat road at 110km/h. Normal driving incl town, 1.7 with a feather right foot...

This attached pic was over a 900 mile trip from NC to NH. The computer reads high however as I enter my mileage into www.fuelly.com and the actual number was 24.0 MPG

The same here
Reading a little high. This was in the middle of a 250 mile trip. Went down to 25 mpg on the screen at the end. At the pump it turned out to be 23 point something. I am sure I had enough tailwind. Lol. |

Nice 22mpg!
I've been experimenting with tire pressure for the past 2000 miles. Noticed the following: 36psi -> 20.0 mpg 43psi -> 21.9 mpg This is with 19" Mich PSS. Quite a big difference!

I got 25.7 mpg based on digital display. Gas cubby app showed it as 23.11. I dont trust the car display. its always off significantly. Gas cubby does simple math calculation based on my inputs.
Interestingly i was going between 75-95 during the trip, it was a part of my 15 hr straight drive so i might have exceeded 95 a few times I would be curious to see any data supporting decreased fuel consumption due to removal of primary cats. In theory it should. maybe 1-2%?

at 43psi your tire wear pattern is going to be awful.

Thought so but not in actual. And it's actually the recommended pressure for 19" tires when the car is fully loaded according to the sticker in driver's door. 18" are lower.

I hear you
The thing is, if you drive this car like it is meant to be (competitive Motorsport) on public roads, than you need to have your driver license revoked. . You know in our beloved country, at least in California, you don't even need to speed to get cited? "Exhibition of Speed" Lol. I try not to get a speeding ticket but i am certain I will get one of those "Exhibition of Speed " tickets at one point in my life. Back to topic, that's just to show that this car can be used for long haul driving. I find mine (E93) pretty comfortable and the gas mileage is great for this kind of car and motor. I was expecting way worse. |
