Steering squeaking when turning

Having an issue where the steering wheel is squeaking when turning left and turning back to the middle after a right. It feels stiffering and/or more resistance if that make sense. I tried spraying lithium grease on the o ring behind the pedals and that was not the issue. I finally figure out I can stop it squeaking by moving my steering wheel position all the way in or all the way out but thats not a comfortable position. Anyone ever experienced this before? The car does get rarely driven so maybe that was a contribution?

Did you check your power steering fluid levels? Mine would make noise taking sharp corners with a lot of lock then realized I was low on fluid.
