Just another tuning question thread...
In the process of installing MS stage 2/test pipes and haven't decided on a tune yet. I see a lot of people go with the remote tuning but I have plenty of reputable BMW tuners near me, and pricing seems to be the same custom/remote tuned... are there any reasons for me to not consider the custom dyno tuned route and go remote?

I would ask your local tuners how many e9x M3s they have tuned in the past. Compare that answer to the remote tuners here who have literally done 100s of our cars and have their customer feedback posted on this forum. I'm sure the local guys are well intentioned but I'm not looking for someone to experiment on my M3.

Can't tell you how many cars we've retuned that went to a local tuner without tons experience on these and then wound up regretting it.
