Installing Xpipe

Very quick question, before i go and spend an hour jacking my car up to put the x pipe on is there any exhaust gaskets that need to be bought?

I bought the topspeed x-pipe... primarys secondaries resonators all deleting, i will be hooking back up to stock muffler for now.

I think that the only gasket, if any, would be where the x-pipes connect to the headers.

IMO, you are probably safe. How many miles on your car?

You can reuse the original gaskets. I've found it easiest if you drop the skid plate to loosen the nuts on the rear of the bolts. There's a DIY here somewhere. You don't need to take off the felt to get to the front skid plate bolts. After you take out the 3 rear screws holding the felt, you can pull the felt down & reach in & get a socket on them. If you need to, you can take off the side screws holding the felt. It'll allow you to pull the felt down further giving you more room. Don't overtighten when you put it back on....

I think that you are safe on re-using the same gaskets.

ill take one this afternoon... at work currently.

I will say once you get over somewhere around 5k rpms the car does have a better sound, somekind of high pitched exotic sound. I still dont care much for it though.

Between 2k and 3.5k rpms the car basically just sounds like its farting into a tin can.

I'm a little disapointed i thought id also feel more power in my butt dyno, then again im really used to opening up the exhaust on turbo'ed cars, though.

Just ordered the megan racing axle back. Im going to see how it sounds with that on, hopefully it will get rid of the rasp. And if not, i'm going to bring it to a muffler shop to weld some resonators on.

Anyone have suggestions for some good sounding resonators?

Also i should add that there is absolutely zero drone with this setup, and not much louder than stock at idle.
