Grats on the new job Mark; Sometimes you gotta give a little ($) to get some quality living. I dont know how you did all this commuting for all this time. A definite plus if its by walking distance. But meetings can be pleasant, with the right people.

Love the building. What was it before the conversion? Looks like an old fort.

Here's what it looks like outside my house for a month now and for the next 3 to 4 months. I love living in Canada, but damn I hate winter.

But no, I haven't driven one. Obviously I would before buying. I might also opt for a slightly older E class just for the added room and features.

Yeah the F30 is nothing to brag about interior-wise, I drove one and thought the same thing. Still prefer it to the C Klasse though. Don't know if I've grown up to be a snob or the interiors are going downhill, but my E46 325Ci didn't feel that way

Nice shot of your cat..

Just read an article last night comparing the 335i, C350, and the new Cadillac ATS. They said the MB would have won outright if it weren't for the driving feel of the ATS. They were saying the MB chassis seemed better sorted then the BMW and interior was miles better. The thing they didn't like in the MB was the command centre.

I was amazed to hear a Cadillac won a shoot out over 2 Germans...but it only won because of how it drove. Said interior was too "bling" and their electronics weren't very intuitive.

Even more sad that it won over a BMW because of how it drove. I guess interior feel is subjective. Some people love Audi interiors; I can't stand them. I like BMW interiors though, they tend to be more driver oriented, although that's not exactly the case with every model.

good to see you back Tim... where have you been?

Reed, it is important to note that a lot of reviewers have noted that the suspension of the new F30 is more soft, and the steering doesn't feel as responsive as the previous generation. In regards to looks, I hate the ATS, and I think the Bimmer and Merc look much much better.

Saw this on the beach today.
It's weird cause the only Pizza Hut in Norway is at the main airport near Oslo, 300 miles away.

Built in 1899, it's always been the main admin building for the campus, although it used to be Eastern Illinois Normal School before it became a university.

Cool pic, Rem. Very odd.

I would swap in a breeze. Since I don't play hockey anymore, I'm really not a winter type of guy. My sports are summer oriented and I really enjoy going out walking and shoot during summer. In winter, not so much. Have both feets in wet snow takes away all the fun of it.

In the last 10 days alone, we got 110 cm / 14 inches of snow. This is ridiculous.

The only thing I really enjoy in this winter is driving my RWD with disabled DSC/DTC when there's nobody around. And this is exactly what i've done last night

(You should see my car this morning tho)

They had some inspiration there. Did you ask for an office in one of the towers?

Those are for the Deans and university bigwigs. But they're very nice offices. They're large and round and all done up in nice paneling. I'll never have a desk in one for sure. I'm over with the math profs on the third floor for now. I guess I'll have an office in a more centrally located building in the fall.

I knew it wouldn't be long before they burned the shed, trees, and barn core to ashes. I just wish I had brought my camera along. Even the P&S I keep in the glovebox was dead. Had to resort to my cell phone. From this distance we could still feel a lot of heat. Must have been a seriously nice fire when it first got going.

Thanks.

it probably was looking at me and my buddies. Three of us were shootin the same bird. I was coaching two noobies and had one start inching forward to make the bird fly. So, the bird was probably a little pissed. This is where you want at least 6-fps to get the best wing position and gleam in the eye.

I'm constantly amazed at how much cold little birds can withstand.
