What did you pay for pulley/test pipe install?
Hello, I was wondering what is the correct price range on getting these install? I am being quoted some pretty high numbers. Thanks

$0. Self install!
Sorry that wasn't helpfull. But look into doing it yourself if you have the time and space, both are fairly simple. Edit: 1.5 hours for the exhaust, 1.5 hours for the pulleys (belt was a little difficult to put on). Last edited by happos2; 05-01-2014 at 11:21 AM.. |

Tell him how long you spent. A shop should take less time.
There is a video on doing the pulley. Might be at the MS website. I would allow 2 hours for a DIYer. If you did it again, you could do it in less time. Test pipes could be pretty quick with the sawsall method on the car. Longer if you marked them and removed the x-pipe and used a bandsaw. I would allow 2 hours for a DIYer. Again, if you did it again, you could do it in less time. A shop that has done a few of these could significantly beat that 4 hour allowance. A shop that has not might possibly exceed it. |
