Evolve Tune

Hi i just purchased an Evolve tune. i have an 09' M3 that i've never taken in for service (i do DIY's and only have 6k miles) so the car doesnt have any software updates (it is still on the stock ECU firmware from 09') will this create compatibility issues with the evolve tune?

Pretty sure they'll update you and then tune you. Don't forget the DCT tune you also get with it.

A tune could be applied to any ECU version. You don't have to have a certain ECU update to be tuned. As to whether they'll update you to the latest version prior to tuning, not sure Evolve's protocol. What did they say when you purchased?

I enjoy your forum moniker.

Update or not, you don't have to worry about that.

Also, give specific instructions not to update the software.

Protocol is to update to the latest version and then apply the tune.

When you send your file to us we can tell if you are on an older version and automatically update you.

You do not have to have the update if you don't want. We can tune on the version your car is currently running.
