I'd like to get some retracting spikes in my front and rear bumpers.

Or maybe just a Bumper Bully with nails embedded in it.

That's total true, I had a bumper badger for my old Mustang cause I got tired of people parking on top of my bumper. Got the bumper fixed and bought that for "protection" and all it did was scratch up the paint. The best thing you can do is just find a reasonably sized parking space and pray that whoever parks in front or behind isn't the type that thinks bumpers are used to tell you when you are close enough to the other car for parking. Also, sizing up how everyone else parks on a certain block helps.

I especially love the ones who just leave it hanging out there all the time. I don't get why people buy it under the guise of it protecting your bumper so it looks nice when you're just going to leave it out there and make it look ugly all the time anyway.

you guys need to understand that you dont drive with these on all the time so it doesnt do damage to the paint. You just flip it down from the trunk after you park and it only protects from people bumping you when they park. In the city, i dont think this is a bad idea at all.

Definitely popular in NYC. I understand they're meant to be flipped back up into the trunk for driving, but so many doofi (doofuses) around here drive with them out, flapping in the breeze at 70 mph on the Grand Central Parkway.

I've made a commitment to own nothing named "Bully", "Buddy", or "Bullybuddy".

I would never in my life use one of those but I see those all over the place here in NYC. Mostly folks that park their cars on the street and have a new Kia, Camry, Civic, etc. Never seen a BMW (yet) with one of those hidious things.

one thing I used to do back in High school when I was forced to park in the street after they took away my parking pass:

Take 2 cones out of my trunk and put one in front and one behind.

Then put them back in my car and leave

but that's not really something I can do now... trunk in the e93 is too small

I have one for my M5. I use it for the rare occasions I have to parallel park I the city. You are only supposed to use it when parked. It only scratches the paint when you are lazy and leave it out while driving. It has kept my bumper scratch/ding free for the 2 yrs I have had it.

You guys don't understand...drivers in NYC parallel park by touch - bada bing, bada boom. If you don't protect you bumper, it gets all pock marked by the hits. I don't live in NYC anymore but when I did, I tried NEVER to parallel park. BTW, you're suppose to flip the stupid thing in your trunk when you drive away. Oh, and yes it does work.

I use one when the car is parked in the garage. I then put a fitted car cover over it.

I use one, but only when i park. Really helps to protect the car...but I would NEVER drive around with it on...I flip it back into the trunk when i'm ready to go.

Hmm, I fancy one but they look so nice I would want a bumper bully bumper bully. But then, what do I get to protect the bumper bully bumper bully? A bumper bully, bumper bully, bumper bully?

Of course, that begs the question, what the hell do I do about protecting the bumper bully, bumper bully, bumper bully? Some might say, "Well Rich, get a
bumper bully, bumper bully, bumper bully, bumper bully you berk" but is that just going a bumper bully too far?

Damn, this is going to bother me all day now.

All that thing is going to do is leave swirl marks on your bumper.
