Gift from BMW

Anyone else get one? Almost 1 month since taking delivery, today I received a gift from BMW. I will refrain from saying "free" gift as we all know we already paid a lot for the car but it's nice to receive something in the mail from BMW in recognition of a purchase.

It's a 2GB memory stick that is embedded in a card that is a little thicker than a credit card (perhaps two cc stacked together). You slide the memory stick out of the card and plug it into any USB port.

BWM calls it a welcome kit with some promotional material saved on the card, etc. You can format it and use it as a normal memory stick if you want however I think I'll leave it as is and use my trusty Corsair 32 GB Voyager GTR which has ~34MB/s throughput.

Thank you BMW, it was a nice gesture for a long time BMW driver. Enjoy the pics below.

I got mine today also but have not figured out how to put anything on it as it is Read-Only. What a worthless piece of garbage, they should have just kept it if I can't even use it. Sorry for the rant.

Not sure, haven't had time to check. LOL. I was installing two new FiOS HD Receivers in the house.

Got mine today. Didn't see anything cool on it, but nice to have. I didn't know what was gonna be in that box. And it came with 1.71GB free even with the little promotional stuff on it.
And it looks like it should be easier to insert into the glovebox slot, cause my other drive closes as I try to plug it in sometimes.

Those of u who didnt get it, maybe the mailman took it? It was a nice BMW box so. I've had shit stolen from my mailbox before.

Hmmm? I didn't get the December issue of Roundel last month. I wonder if the same mail carrier borrowed it?

I once read that postal carriers never have any subscriptions to any magazines since they can swipe any mags they want from along their route.
I wonder if that still happens?
